The latest and final venues for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games have been confirmed today, with Victoria Square in Birmingham city centre revealed as the official finish area for the Marathon.
As well as unveiling the full 42.2km/26.2 mile route for the Marathon, the organisers of the Games also unveiled the courses for the Cycling Road Race, Cycling Time Trial and Triathlon and Para Triathlon events.
• The Triathlon and Para Triathlon events will be staged in and around Sutton Park on 29 and 31 July.
• The Marathon will be held in Birmingham and will be staged on Saturday 30 July.
• The Cycling Time Trial will take place in the Black Country and Staffordshire on Thursday 4 August. It will start and finish in Wolverhampton’s West Park.
• The Cycling Road Race will be held on Sunday 7 August and will start and finish at St Nicholas Park.
